Choosing a Grace Period that works for you
Early Payers
Consumers who always pay early are not affected by grace periods as they won't incur any interest throughout. But for benefit of doubt, early payers are better-off choosing a credit card based on a grace period for those "not sure".
Not Sure
Consumers who usually pay early but for sakes of doubt, or forgetfulness want something that offers reprieve in case the bill is not paid in full will benefit most from a card using the full grace period method as it's only when there’s no unpaid balance for the previous month a typical grace period charges no interest.
Procrastinators
The struggling single parent who never pays the bill in full will enjoy most from a credit card charging interest based on an average daily balance excluding new purchases. Interest might flip over from the previous month, but accumulating debt shouldn't be at full speed as fewer purchase transactions are charged interest.
